The Office of the City Clerk functions as the official records custodian, official custodian of the seal of the City, and the City’s records management and records disposition program administrator. The City Clerk is statutorily required to maintain and produce all public records.

Public Comment
Those who wish to provide a public comment may submit their comment via the City website up to one (1) hour before the start of the meeting or fill out a blue card at the meeting.
The City Clerk is responsible for attending all City Commission meetings, keeping the official minutes of all meetings of the City Commission, and assisting in the preparation of official documents. This is also the office responsible for all municipal legislative processes, including the preparation of ordinances, resolutions and official minutes of the City Commission, as well as the maintenance of contracts and agreements.
This office oversees the municipal elections, with the City Clerk serving as the Supervisor of Elections and Qualifying Officer for the City, collecting all candidate filing papers, disclosure statements, and campaign treasurer reports.
In the City of Lake Worth Beach, the Office of the City Clerk handles the sale of cemetery plots in the two cemeteries. The City Clerk administers oaths and affirmations and is responsible for publishing legal notices and updating and distributing supplements to the City’s Code of Ordinances.

Lien search requests include searches for special assessment liens, code enforcement liens, utility balances and outstanding building permits.
To have a lien search conducted on a property, the following must be provided on your company letterhead or with your contact information, especially your email address:

$125.00 check, per folio number, payable to the City of Lake Worth Beach. If you wish to have RUSH service (within 2 days) the cost is $250.00 per folio number.
If the property is in unincorporated Palm Beach County and The City of Lake Worth provides utilities only the costs are as follows:
$85.00 per folio number beginning with the numbers 00. If you wish to have RUSH service (within 2 days) the cost is $170.00.
