The Lake Worth Beach City Library (LWBCL) offers library card holders resources such as children’s and adult books, a family Spanish collection, DVDs, and audio books. Library services include Wi-Fi, laptops, printing, scanning, faxing, and hotspots. Additional resources are available online using a LWBCL card.
Wi-Fi, Printing, Scanning and Photocopy: Library visitors can connect to the library’s Wi-Fi, and print wirelessly from phones, tablets or laptop computers. Scanning, faxing, and photocopying are available. Visitors often bring their own devices to connect to the Internet, but laptops are available for Internet access or printing. Please note that wireless printing from laptops is only available via Apple laptops or Chromebooks (library Chromebooks are available with a library card.)
Adult Best-Sellers, Fiction, Non-Fiction, and e-resources:
LWBCL’s focus on adult library services is to offer a large selection of current popular fiction. Local and national news publications as well as popular magazines are also available as e-Resources. E-Resources also include e-books and audiobooks. You can find the e-resources on the (CL) Cloud Library App.
Art and Wood Carvings:
The library has an impressive collection of Paintings by Sherman Winton as well as a collection of Wood Carvings by Samuel Schlappich in the newly renovated Florida Room that can be toured by appointment.

Using the following measures, the library continues to promote the health and safety of library staff and patrons:
Hand sanitation and social distancing are encouraged.
Individuals who are not healthy enough to be in the library will be asked to leave.
Loitering is not permitted. People are encouraged to select materials for use at home.

There are multiple ways to access the following e-Resources: with an app, or a WEBSITE LINK: some require your library card number for access, and others don’t.

Lake Worth Public Library Flipster: e-Magazines. Download the App or click on the LINK. To login, use your Lake Worth Beach City Library card number and click "Sign In."
Newsbank: (on our e-Services web page). Resources include The Palm Beach Post, and many more local, regional and national newspapers in the United States. “Login” with your LWB City Library Card.
The Florida Electronic Library No library card required: FEL will authenticate user within the State of Florida. (LINK is also on our WEBSITE).

Yes, Hot Spots can be checked out from the Library with your Library card: ask at the front desk.

Yes, Hot Spots, provide Internet for your smart devices. Wi-Fi hotspots are internet access points that allow you to connect to a Wi-Fi network (provided at no cost to you, by the library) using your computer, smartphone or another device. Check a Hot Spot out, keep it charged up, and connect using your device’s Wi-Fi settings.

Yes, when you visit the library, ask the library staff for the password. You need to be on the Library’s Wi-Fi if you wish to print from your own device.

Printing is offered using the library computers or your own devices. It’s self-service, and the machine takes coins or up to $10 bills. Black & White printing is $.15 per sheet, and Color is $.50 per sheet.
There’s also a Black & White photocopier available: copies are $.15 per sheet.

The library offers a scanner with these options:
Scan = $0.05 to USB, to email, to phone, or to Google Drive.
Scan to Fax = $0.50
Additional Scan to Fax services offered
International = $1.00 per page
Text Translation = $0.45 per page
Text-to-Audio = $0.45 per page
Scanning is self-service: the machine takes coins or up to $10 bills.

Yes, with a library card the computers are available for 2 hours per day. There are also 15-minute guest computers for patrons who wish to print or briefly check email etc.

Yes, regular late fees apply for books checked out via the Online Ordering and with Self Check. Ask about the current late fee amounts, by contacting the library.

Not at this time. You may call the library at 561-533-7354 to renew your books.

All books and media can be returned via the convenient book drop located near our front doors, or inside at our circulation desk.

Yes-The Library receives donations at its “Friendly Little Book Shop” used bookstore. Saturdays from 1-4pm in the Annex Building at 414 Lake Ave in Downtown Lake Worth. All proceeds benefit the library.

Lake Worth Beach City Library Meeting Room
Thank you for your interest in using the library meeting room at the Lake Worth Beach City Library.
A meeting room application form is required for any group wishing to use the room. Bookings are confirmed when the signed application is returned to the applicant.
All requests are subject to room and staff availability. Sufficient lead time is required due to the volume of outside requests and in-house Library programs.
• The meeting room is available (as of October 1, 2024) Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, for 2-hour blocks (all requests are subject to room and staff availability)
• Groups are limited to one meeting per month
• The meeting room is 20 x 40 feet with a 50-person capacity
• Handicap accessible
• Adjacent to refrigerator, warmer and sink
• Chairs and tables are available for use- the participating group must handle all set up and breakdown
• Projector, screen and podium available for use -

With Comics Plus, patrons can “read all the comics” with unlimited, simultaneous access to thousands of digital comics, manga, and picture books — on computers, tablets, and phones. There are no holds, wait lists, or monthly borrowing limits, and new titles are added to Comics Plus every week.
The collection includes a diverse selection of titles for readers of all ages from a variety of popular publishers, including Andrews McMeel, BOOM! Studios, Dark Horse, Fantagraphics, Image Comics, Kodansha, Oni Press, Papercutz, Tokyopop, UDON Entertainment, Yen Press, and dozens more.
